Burger King Toys
Starting April 21st, Burger King began including Justice League toys with their Kids? Meals. Slated to run four weeks, the promotion includes two toys a week with eight toys total. Each toy includes a mini-comic, which tells a story involving the character whose toy is included.
The Flash
The Flash?s toy is pretty neat. It has one point of articulation at his waist, which isn?t much but a nice touch considering that they could have easily included none. He has a wind up motor underneath, and by pulling back on his ?cloud base? and letting go causes The Flash to zoom away. In addition, he has a light in his red trail that ?flashes? as he moves. There doesn?t seem to be any way to replace the batteries, and all the screw holes are filled in, so purchasing multiples might be advised if the batteries ever run out. Overall, it?s pretty nice for a promotional toy.
As an interesting "easter egg", in Flash's comic there is a kid wearing a Batman Beyond T-shirt.
Superman
Superman has a little magnet on the bottom that attaches to a flaming meteor rock. The magnet keeps him attached to the meteor so you can roll him around. It?s not too amazing, but it works as advertised.
Hawkgirl
Hawkgirl is probably the best of all the figures. She?s close to scale to the Mattel?s figures. The little button on the stick makes her wings flap. The sculpting is actually pretty good, and the paint job is also done well.
Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman has a really fun action feature. You pull the Imperium warrior away from her, and it locks into place. When you push the button, Wonder Woman ?lassos? the Imperium Warrior. Nothing is painted in great detail, but the colors are accurate, and I think it has a cool feature.
Martian Manhunter
This gets the award for forcing a character into a toy design. It looks like a gigantic snake, and when you push the button, the snake spins around to reveal a transparent Martian Manhunter inside. It makes sense when you read the comic book, because J?onn turns into a snake to rescue a trapped child, but it feels as if they needed a toy for Martian Manhunter and they forced his character into an existing toy.
