Joker

Clown Prince of Crime

Voiced by: Mark Hamill

Powers: Insane. Smart. Vast arsenal of dangerous gags such as Joker Toxin and acid spraying flowers.

Origin: In Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, it was revealed that the animated Joker used to be a chauffer to three prominent mob bosses. Joker's orginal name is thought to be "Jack Napier," although it is likely that it was just an alias. Though his origin has never been animated, in other episodes of B:TAS such as Beware the Creeper and Mad Love, it has been mentioned that Joker became the Joker after falling into a vat of chemicals, which closely follows both his comic and live-action movie origins. (Thanks to SuperDude, Randy and BatMite for the reference episodes)

While he might seem like a joke, he is by far Batman?s most dangerous nemesis. Logic and rationality escape the Joker, making his crimes both heinous and unpredictable.

Comments: At first Joker might seem out of his league when dealing with cosmic powers and super beings like Wonder Woman and Superman, but he?s as dangerous as any of the other super-villains. What he lacks in strength and power, he makes up for with pure insanity. Though based on their past encounters, Luthor and the rest of the Injustice Gang should watch their own backs as well.

The animated Joker has gone through various redesigns from the original one in Batman: TAS, then the ?no lipstick? version in The New Adventures of Batman, and finally the futuristic clown in Batman Beyond. The version in Justice League seems to derive primarily from the original version with his red lipstick.
